Digital Restoration and Album Duplication
Your precious pictures may by now show serious signs of deterioration and the access to the original negatives (in those days) may have been long lost. Whereas the best results are almost always achieved from the original negative or slide, you can still bring prints back to life with modern digital manipulation to enjoy even more and for longer. Your new copies are UV-protected for long-lasting quality, probably better that the original.
If you have any pictures (old or new) that are of particular value to you, but whose quality you are not happy with, then I may be able to help you and improve it to a standard that meets your approval. Example techniques include highlighting a person by de-emphasising or removing backgrounds, repairing tears, enhancing faded images or even restoring missing parts as well as colour correction to give snapshots a more professional look, where the originals allow.
Due to the highly individual nature of the work required, you need to discuss the requirements before any work is carried out.
One final thought: How precious are your photo albums to you? Have you ever thought of sharing them with your friends and family? Or what happens if they are destroyed in fire or flood? If you are worried about that – you can now have the whole album duplicated!
